Well 2 posts in one night! I saw this challange earlier this week and should have posted it first. This is really my first try at a Moxie Fab challenge.I just posted the other one first.I saw the cute animal things and I thought of my stamp from Mouse House with a mouse in a thimble and an ornament idea I was working on.I put them together and came up with this cut little guy.
I used tombo markers to color in the part of the stamp I wanted to use and stamped it and colored it with Copic marker. I die cut the holly with a spellbinders die.I die cut the clear ornament using a Accucut die. I then stamped it with white stays on ink and snowflake stamps from Gena K designs.
I cut out the mouse and thimble and attached it and the holly with zip dry glue.I added the candy dots for berry's. It needed a little something so I misted it whit some marshmallow glimmer mist and got out my trusty diamond stickles and added some sparkle to the snowflakes
My little friend is ready to put on the tree. I am an alteration specialist by day so this really fits well on my tree!
Thanks for stopping and peeking at my project.

Well I am going to try my hand at a Moxie Fab challenge.I love the colors Nina used and have been playing with pastels a lot this season.I started with and idea that I wanted to incorporate some snowflakes and my card and developed it from there.I die cut some snowflakes using Create a a flake 1 and 2 spellbinders dies from some pearl paper. I found a pretty aqua and pink paper. I die cut them with spellbinders dies.I debossed the aqua one with a cuttlebug embossing folder.I found a nice saying from Gena K designs and die cut that with another spellbinder fancy tags die.I sponged the edges with a Tim Holtz distress ink.I put it all together and decided I needed some gold on my snowflakes to pull it all together.I found a pretty plaid ribbon and some pearls to finish it all off. My 18 year old liked it so I guess I did O.K.
Thanks for stopping and have a Blessed Christmas.

From cereal box to ornament/card

  1. I stamped my image and colored it with copic markers.
  2. I die cut it with my tree nestibilities.
  3. I cut another tree from a cereal box.
  4. I cut the back from a printed paper.( be sure to cut it upside down so the print will fit on the tree when turned print out and glued to the back of the ornament.
  5. I used a sponge to ink up the edges of the tree front and back.
  6. I added some diamond stickles to the snowman and star.
  7. I die cut the slash folder card holder with an accucut die.
  8. I stamped snowflakes ( Rupa's from Gena K designs) and embossed them with white embossing powder.
  9. I die cut the snowflake ( spellbinders) I also embossed it with a cuttlebug embossing folder for some texture.I did this with the blue stipe of paper also.
I stamped the saying ( Gena K) and embossed it with white embossing powder also.
  10. I layered everything and attached it to the slash folder.I then added some diamond stickles on a few spots on the snowflakes for some sparkle.

Gena K Blog Hop Cards

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the green mat and then gently rubbed white brilliance ink on the raised snowflakes. I used copic markers to color the image.

I used Rupa's Winter Friends stamp set again for this card.Used a snowflake border embossing folder to do the blue snowflakes. I also rubbed white brilliance ink on top of them to make them stand out more. The house and tree were colored wtih Copic markers and cut with spellbinders die's. The colors are outside the box for me but I have been seeing so much of the pastels this year I had to try it. I like the results! You can see more ideas if you go to Gena K's Blog there will be links to lots of other blogs. Thanks for looking and have fun blog hopping.

Playing with new stamps!

I got a box with some new stamps from Gena K and could not wait to play with them!
I stamped the holly spray from the Very Merry Christmas set by Theresa Momber. I got out my prisma color pencils and started with my lighter shade of green and then went back ober it with the darker shade in the center and along one of the edges to give it some demention. I did the same with the bow and berry's only this time with red.
The pink Jar you see has odorless terpintine in it. I use the nubs you see pictured to blend the colors together. I use small circular motions to blend the the light and dark colors together smoothly.
I then used a nestability to die cut it and mat it.
We had our first hard frost yesterday and even a few snow flakes in the air. So working on Christmas projects is easy to do in this kind of weather.
I hope you have a great day and find some time to work on your Holiday projects soon.

Elegant Tree's card

This is a card I did for a Gena K challenge shimmer back grounds.
-I chose a metallic blue paper and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder.
-I then die cut the pendent in silver to use as my mat.
-The stamp I chose is a Gena k stamp from a set called tree's Silhouettes.I used versa mark ink on the stamp and put on a blue pearl embossing powder. I then die cut it with a round nestability and ran it though again to emboss the edge.
-For a fun touch I added some snow on the branches with liquid applique and heated it to puff it up like snow.
-I put the layers together adding a soft blue orgnady ribbon under the circle before I put it on with foam tape.
- The whole thing was then put on a glossy white card.
I love doing card challenges they get my creative brain going.
I hope you like it and will try using some embossing and metallic papers in a project soon.

P.S. What do you think of my new blog design? Rita from Coffee shop was great to work with and did a great job of working with a newbe like me. As you can see I have a lot to learn and things to finish up on my end so I hope to keep learning and doing a better job of laying things out and feeling comfortable working on my blog.

Coloring with my copics Flower purse card

I am new to Copic markers. I did some playing around with some flowers from GenaK.
First I stamped them and embossed them with a silver pearl embossing powder.
Then I cut them out.
I then colored them with dark to light shades of copic markers.
As you can see in one of the pictures there is a stylist on top of one of the flowers. I used it to press from the center out on a mouse pad to cause the flower to get some depth.
The purse is a Accucut die I have. I cut it from a golden white metalic paper. I then used my scor pal to add the diamond pattern for some interest on the purse.
The flowers were added with pop dots.
This card was very simple to make but it really has a beautiful look when done.
