Martini's anyone? Got my first badge from Moxie Fab

I got my first badge on my blog from Moxie Fab World.I won for Random Fun.Love that blog! I go there daily  to see what Cath has found to inspire us ! The Stamps I used are From Raisin Boat called Drinks Anyone. It is so funny I don't even drink Martini's, in fact I hardly drink at all! O.K. a glass of wine now and then,. I saw this set and had to make a card for a friend I wanted to keep it simple and yet say CELEBRATE. I think this card did just that. I just stamped the martini glass's with black ink and then stamped the olive with momento ink in green and the pimento in red. I added a bit of sparkle with some diamond dust stickles. I used Raisin Boat papers. ( love the rich colors) and a simple birthday sentiment from the Raisin Boat stamp set No Loss for Words and that was all it took to create this fun and simple card. Great for a man or a woman and fun to give.
I hope you all are getting your Holiday projects done and that you will find time to reflect on the true meaning of why we celebrate this Christmas.I wish you good health and happiness this coming year and hope you stop in again to see what I am up to.

Simple yet it says so much.

All gold and pearly ornament card

This is a it out of my comfort zone going all ornate but it looks so pretty. I know who will be getting this one.I used JustRite stamps and spellbinders die's for this card. The paper is a pretty metallic gold and a creamy pearl and I used versa mark ink and gold embossing powder. The pearl brads are from the wedding section at Micheal's.

How about a quick and elegant frame ornament?

I have been wanting to do some frame ornaments of my girls pictures and I came up with this fast and easy project. I die cut the frames with the Accucut die Frame charms and Frame charms back. I used Bear cub paper from Raisin Boat's Boat house collection to die cut the frames and backs. I then arranged the stamps ( Joyful Love and some from Damask Elegance from Raisin Boat Stamps), on a clear block to make my own back ground stamp.I inked it up with versa mark ink and them used gold embossing powder to emboss the design I randomly stamped on the frames to completely cover them.I then took a sponge and went over the frames with Ranger distress ink putting more on the outside and inside edges. I did one in red and one in green.I then put in the wallet size picture( trimming where  I needed to fit) and then put on the back. I then took the sponge with ink and went around the edge to finish it off.
I hope you like the frames and get inspired to make some of your own. These can easily be tucked in with your Christmas card with out a lot of added weight.
How are you coming with your Christmas projects?
Have a great day, take some time to play in the ink today!

Trigger Tuesday over at Moxie Fab

I had some fun using the warm colors of Kraft and Red for a challenge over at Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday.I reclaimed a Kraft box and added some Red and Kraft ornaments, stamped with JustRite stamps and die cut with Spellbinders die's.I edged the box with the red ink and a sponge. I added some cotton ribbon under the ornaments to give it a splash.
I hope you like my take on Trigger Tuesday.
I put the card I made on top of the box.

JustRite Christmas Challenge JRC_063

I used a embossing folder on the card front and then added the ornament.

I stamped the snowflakes with the same ink I used for the brayer back ground.

I embossed the white mat with a snowflake embossing folder. I put versa mark on the ornament and then added bridal embossing powder to give it a shimmer.

I make my back ground by stamping the small ornament with the same ink I used on the brayer. I added small pearls to the centers to add a bit more glam to this card.
I played around with my brayer this weekend. I stamped the images with versa mark ink and then used my brayer to go over the image with the inked brayer.I also used the ink as a reverse for backgrounds.I hope you think out side the box with some fun colors for Christmas cards this year.
Take care,
Donna

I used a tall gable favor box that I cut with and Accucut die and stamped the holly on the box with green ink and colored in the berry's with a red marker. The stamped image I die cut to just focus in on the elf and deer head to fit on the box.
I have some more elf fun for you today. I just love these guys! Elves on Shelves. The stamps are from the girls over at Raisin Boat Stamps. I used Copic Markers to color them.

Thankgiving gift

This is a remake or an up do it you will of a Martha Steward goodie box. I used a JustRite stamp for the design and spellbinders dies. I used prisma color pencils to color the design. The square lace doily motif was cu from color core paper and sanded to give it an aged look, and I edged the die cuts and box edge with Ranger distress ink. This is a fast and easy way to personalize a box of goodies for Thanksgiving host.

Moxie FabRandom Fun Challenge/ button card for button day ( really)

I love this new stamp set Elves on staff from Raisin Boat. I found some time to color some images I had stamped. I used Copics for this card.  As I played around with this design I thought the snowflake border ( I used a Martha Steward punch to do this) I thought it needed something to fun it up a bit.Buttons I thought, Buttons. Then I thought Moxi Fab has a challenge for a card with Buttons.Well this card became a Moxie Fab card.I hope you like the whimsy that the buttons add to this card. Don't you just love the cute little elf?
I think I am done for the night I have a crazy week so I don't think I will be posting to much for a few days.

Pay it forward Challenge project 2 over at Moxie Fab - Apple sauce bread

I wanted to try this recipe I found on Recipes .com for apple sauce bread. I made a crockpot full of apple sauce I had some apples that needed to be used. This is more of a desert if you ask me.
I used a JustRite stamp for this shall we say bread bell band. I colored it with Copics and used Raisin Boat paper for the band and a Martha Steward border punch. It was a quick and simple project that just made that plan looking loaf of bread POP.  This is for my neighbor's who have been kind enough to give my daughter a ride home from Play practice because I have Lots of fitting for Brides at the end of the day and it would have been a big challenge for me to go and get her. They are such a big help to me.
I hope you like my 2nd project I did for the Pay it forward challenge over at Moxie Fab

Why not bake up some goodies for those who touch your life in kind ways.I think I gained 5 pounds just taste testing.I love the way the house smells when things are baking don't you?
Have a great week.

Pay it forward challenge over at Moxie Fab thank you goodies

I spent much of this weekend making some goodies for people I want to say thank you for the things they do for me or my family.
Unbaked cookies ready for the oven.

Cookies all cooked and oh so good!

All bagged up and ready for giving.

Don't they look so pretty!
I baked some fun cookies where I make one batch yellow and one red. I cut out small leaves of each color and them I mix them like leaves that turn uneven colors in fall.I stamped some pretty tags with Gena K stamps that a gal  from our church actually designed (Rupa) she designs for Gena K. I stamped the bags with the acorn stamp and stays on ink. The tags were tied on with a twine after the cookies were bagged up. I really like how they turned out. These are for the Middle school volunteers at our church which my daughter is a part of. I think these will get eaten up in know time!
I think this is a fun Pay it forward project for the Moxie Fab Pay if forward Challenge.

I hope you enjoy this fun little project.

The cuffs can just be cut with fun scraps you have for a fun touch.

I put a die cut spellbinders snowflake under the small doily.

Another Just Rite Challenge

Finished card
My scraps, I think I did pretty good using them up. What do you think?
The challenge over at Just Rite ( Get Scrappy) is to used the scraps on your work area. I have plenty of those and I tend to keep every piece especially the printed ones so this was a challenge I needed to take on. I had done a quilt card last year and thought this would be a fun way to use up these scraps also. I used my spellbinders Hexagon die's from Spellbinders.I cut several different pieces of my printed papers and played around with back grounds and came up with this pretty blue print. I arranged them to fit on a square piece of paper that was cut to fit on a Accucut card die I have that has a scallop on the bottom. Once I had them on the card I used a fine tip Prisma marker  in brown to add faux stitches around each one,( It went faster then you think) I edged the blue with Momento's Potter's clay ink. I stamped the saying ( Birthday centers) with this ink as well and then edged the die cut saying with a sponge and Potters clay ink. This was set on top of the die cut filigree which I had a pretty plaid ribbon in a yummy butterscotch color to pull the whole thing together. To finish it off I put a scrap of the rusty print paper under the scallop edge at the bottom of the card.
I really like how it turned out and better yet I got to use some of those small scraps I had piling up on my work area. This is a card that really has a warm hug kind of feel to it.
Have a great day.

Today is just a simple small handle box die cut with an Accucut die.
