last Card for Photo Card challenge at JustRite Stamps

This was a simple card I did where I embossed the blue paper and then rubbed it with red ink. I die cut the picture and mat with spellbinders die's. I stamped the saying from JustRites Christmas Antique Labels One with a custom die that coordinates with the stamp set. I used Gray Flannel ink from Momento  and then sponged it with the red ink.. I used pop dots to attach both the picture and saying.I added a bit of bling with VivaGlitter liner Holo Iridescent and a red rhinestone. The colors work so well with the picture.
I have enjoyed this challenge, It made me think outside my box.
Have a very Merry Christmas.

Challenge card #3 Card with a Picture

I have had fun playing with some pictures I have had just waiting to be made into a card. I took these of our crab tree in the back yard and had them make into wallet size with a metallic finish.I found a Authentic Fresh 6x6 paper pack with just the right blue and red to pick up the apples and blue sky . I used several JustRtie stamp sets for this card as well as Spellbinder custom dies for JustRite.Christmas Antique Labels One,Cordinating Die set,Merry and Bright, and Botanical. Medallions and Banners. I stared out with a card I die cut using a Accucut die and then stamped and layered the card using Rhubarb stalk and Gray Flannel momento inks.I also sponged the edge of the dies with the momento ink. For a bit of sparkle I added a few dots of Viva Glitter liner Holo Iridescent.
I hope you like my card as well as my photo of my back yard crab apples.
I hope you are finding time at this busy time of the year to reflect on the try reason we celibarate Christmas.

a little Elf fun

I wanted to add a little something to this pillow box so I made what I like to call a belly band. I also added the cute little elf. The stamps are from Raisin Boats Stamp set Handy Dandy Helpers. I used Copics to color him. I did score the fold lines to help the band lay nicer around the pillow box.
This was a quick and fun project. I hope you like it.

How about a ltttle Rheindeer Poop???

Add caption

I fell in love with Raisin Boats Holiday stamp set # 10259 Night Before Christmas. It is a fun set with a cute little saying you just need to check out for your self.
I stamped the circle saying with Grey flannel momento ink and then the Reindeer Poop with Love Letters Momento ink.I die cut it with a spellbinder circle die and then I cut a red mat with a scalloped circle. I stamped the frame with Love Letters red ink on the blue card stock. and die cut it with an spellbinder oval die and again a red scalloped mat to put behind it.I added some small star brads I had on each side of the circle.I adhered all the layers; putting foam tape under the blue layers to give it some dimension.  I filled small clear cellophane bags with malted milk balls and then used red line tape to attach the tag to the filled bag.
I almost forgot that I added some sparkle to the border with a glitter get pen and the red words with a Glitter liner. They don't show up to good on the picture but it really adds a fun sparkle to this project.
I made these for my grand nieces and nephews for a little Christmas treat. I really like the red with the light blue paper kind of different but fun!
Go check out some of the other fun stamp sets Raisin Boat came up with for the Holidays!

JustRite photo card challenge project #2

My Girls Alyssa and Kirsten 2012

This is take 2 on JustRites challenge to use a picture in the project. This time my lovely girls are the focus of this card.I used Cosmo Cricket paper (Art Angel) for the patterned paper. I used JustRites Christmas Antique Labels one stamp set for this card. I printed the picture in wallet size and tore the edges adding a gold leaf pen around the edges. I sponged the edges of the mats and cards with a sponge and distress ink. I die cut some gold snowflakes using Spellbinders snowflake dies.I added a bit of bling with some rhinestones. It  is like a mini scrap book page. I love how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping in.Gonna bake up some Christmas cookies this afternoon after church, can't wait!!!!

A twist to a challenge add a picture #1

Barn door at my husband Aunt and Uncle in Northern WI

This is a fun challenge over at JustRite stamps  They want you to use a picture in your project. I have been saving this picture I took last Christmas at my husband Aunt and Uncles up in northern WI of their barn door. I had it printed in wallet size. I tore the edges all around and then used a gold leaf pen around the edges. I cut my mats with a deckle scissors and edged them with distress ink. I stamped the card front with JustRites Shabby Music background stamp with distress ink. I then used a sponge around the edges with a shade darker distress ink. I then stamped the Merry Christmas (From JustRite set Christmas Antique Labels one.) I edged it with rhubarb ink my Momento to pull the red in. I die cut some snowflakes with Spellbinders snowflake dies from gold card stock. I layered then on the  card in the corners and added a rhinestone in the center.
I love how this card turned out. I can not wait to share it with my husbands Aunt and Uncle. What a fun challenge!
How about giving it a try too.

Get out your brayer for a fast and fun card. I used Momento inks in Danube Blue 2/3 on one side of the roller and London fog on the other about 1/3 I then tore a piece of paper and then put it on the bottom of my white card stock for the snow. I rolled it across the paper with the torn paper on the bottom with the blue for the sky and the gray closer to the white .I removed the torn paper mask and then sponged a little on the white to soften the look. I also sponged a bit of the grey on the top of the sky. I then stamped the trees ( Raisin Boat # 10001 Natures Reflections.)with versa mark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.I cut a black mat and stamped the season's greeting on the bottom. I used a sizzix embossing folder to emboss the front of the card and then wrapped some iridescent twine around and attached the stamped/matted tree's on the front of the card.
This is a fast and easy card to make. I do love the soft background with the white tree's.
I hope you get out your brayer and play with your own brayer back ground.
Happy Stamping,
Donna

I love the Scandinavian  feel to this set. It takes on such a different look with different color inks or back round papers such as kraft. Teal Zeal Momento ink is my new favorite color. Don't forget to add some fun glitter with Glitter liners or stickles.
I hope you enjoy some of my Christmas treats. I hope to post more in the next few days so be sure to stop back.Feel free to pin away.
