Birds of A feather

I love that Susan Opel has found a new place to land and share her talents over at My Favorite Things. I also love Challenges so here is my take on My Favorite things sketch challenge.
I used a fun stamp from Raisin Boat Stamps called Perfect Partners.  I used water color paper and water color pencils to color the cute little birds. I went a little different with the black and white/off white theme.I used spellbinders dies to mat the birds. I used some color core paper and embossed it and sanded it to let the pretty design show through. To add a pop of color on the top and bottom and to go with the sketch. I added some delicate white lace and a skinny red dot washi tape. To finish it off I added a scalloped die cut heart and a metal love embellishment I had in my drawer waiting to be used.To be truer to the sketch I added the delicate leaves a My Favorite Things die that has been discontinued.
I hope this gets you in the Valentine mood.Be sure to pop over to My Favorite Things sketch challenge to see all of the other wonderful cards the talented paper crafters have made for this challenge.
  Thanks for stopping.

Sweet Tweet Valentine card

I made one more card for MFT Sketch Challenge. For this one I used the Wood plank background stamp and used a corner rounder on the corners and then stitched it to the front of my card with red thread. I die cut the vine border from red paper and then added dots of blue pearl pen. I stamped the bird and saying from Raisin Boats Tree's Company stamp set I colored it with Copic markers. I then matted it with red and aqua paper I die cut with spellbinders  oval die.s
This is a quick and cute Valentine card that is good for a male or female, boy or girl.I hope you like this cute simple card.Be sure to check the other great cards that people made for this challenge.

MFT sketch challenge baby card

I was so happy for Susan Opel when I saw she got a new job over at MFT . I always loved seeing her posts when she was the editor over at Paper Craft Magazine ( Which will be missed) I don't have many stamps from them but I do have several die.s.
This is my take on the MFT sketch challenge  I used one of the Mini doily's dies for the mat under the circle. I stamped the cute frog big from Raisin Boats Loads of love stamp set. I colored it with Copic markers and used Momento ink to stamp the image and the saying. The saying is from MFT set Clearly Sentiments about Babies.
I hope you checkout the other great cards over at MFT Sketch Challenge.
