Snowflake nugget box's

I made these fun nugget boxes that hold 5 Hersey nugget candy's. I made my template to fit the 5 candies.I scored it and cut it out.I stamped the covers and sides of the bottom with Momento ink and Raisin Boat snowflake stamps Sparkle and Splendor.I used bakers twine to attach the small tag I made using a spellbinders small tag die and a small snowflake stamp.I wrapped the candies with the same paper I used for the box and stamped a snowflake of the same color to go with the box.I have used address labels in the past it goes much faster but I wanted the cream color.
This is a fun and inexpensive treat to give as I did in my bag of goodies I did for my daughters youth group leaders.
Thanks for stopping.

Fun snowflake tags

I made a bunch of cookies and caramels for my daughter youth group leaders and I wanted to do a tag to coordinate with with the printed bags I had bought. So I used kraft paper to cut ornaments using Spellbinders dies and then I punched the snow flake in the middle with a Martha Stewart punch. I die cut the back with red and green that matched the colors on the bag. I then added a red pearl in the middle. These were fast and a good way for me to use up some scraps I had.
I hope you find time this Holiday season to make some goodies for some special people in your life or your kids life.

Justrite white on white challenge Christmas card

For this card I used one of my favorite back ground stamps  Elegant fronds and pearl embossing powder. I used pearl paper to give it even a richer look. I die cut the lace square and ornament with the same pearl paper. I added some fun glitter pen to give it even a richer look as well as a few pearls to make it pop.I used foam tape to add dimension and for the Merry Christmas I used silver ink with the pearl embossing powder on top. the holly leaves were a last minute touch along with the sheer organdy faux bow.All of the dies I used are spellbinders dies.Notice that I embossed the square with the next size die in the set it really added some interest to the plain Lacey square.
Be sure to check out the other great cards my fellow paper artists have made over the the Justrite challenge white on white.

How about a Halloween treat bag?

I used a Raisin Boat background stamp lollypop on a glycine  bag.I used another  Raisin Boat background stamp distressed black ink on orange paper that I die cut with a spellbinder die. I edged it with a sponge and black ink. I die cut a black oval and then used a white gel pen and added some faux x stitches around the edge.I stamped the haunting potions bottles from Raisin Boat and colored them with copic markers and cut them out adding them on top of the mats with foam tape.I added a small eyelet on each side and then ran some bakers twine around the bag.

A little wiener costume Halloween doggie treat .

How about a fun doggie treat for Halloween? This is one I came up with using Raisin Boats fun stamp set Canine in Costume # 10252  It has some really fun stamps in this set. Great for making your friends pets little Halloween treats. I used prisma color pencils to color the wiener dog. and spellbiners dies to cut it out. I used a sizzix treat bag topper die for the bag topper and I ran it through a sizzix embossing folder. The paper was a color core paper purple inside and black out side so when it was sanded the purple showed up.
Fun to do a treat for the 4 legged friends.

Little monster Halloween treats

Here is a fun and easy treat for Halloween. I used Raisin Boat stamps for this cutie. These monsters are from #10079 Monster wishes.I colored them with Copic markers and die cut them with spellbinders dies.
I cut a strip of dot paper 2" wide and 7 1/12" long and then I used a spellbinders scalloped hexigon die to cut the end.( you could use an oval or a round too) you just slid the paper under one side of the die so you only cut the one edge.I scored the strip at 3" and then 4 1/2" this is where you will fold the paper to go over your sucker.I used a small hole punch and punched 2 holes at the top and then tied the folded paper around the sucker stick along with the tag I stamped with the saying. I cut out the orange monster and used foam tape to make it pop out. Use your imagination for fun color combinations of your own. This is a fast and easy treat to do multiples of.
Hope you get your Halloween on and make some fun treats of your own.

Sketch challenge card # 1

Wow it has been awhile since I have done a challenge over at Tuesday Morning sketches.. My job gets in the way in the summer with all of the wedding dress's I have to alter. I am down to 19 now to get done by the end of October.I saw this challenge that Raisin Boat stamps is sponsoring the prize and I could not resist to get a card or 2 done for it.
For this one I used water color paper and water color pencils to color the flowers.I had some pretty glitter white on white paper I  used for the mat and a pretty sheer light blue ribbon for my stripes . I used spellbinders dies to cut out the long oval and the scalloped mat.
I stamp and color things and put them in a drawer for when I get a chance to make some cards so this one was one of the ones I chose to finally make into a card today. It has a soft feminine feel to it.I hope you like it.

Popcorn for my Dad

This is a fun card I did for my Dad for his 76th Birthday. I used a Pop Corn bowl stamp from Crack Box Palace and stamped it on a red print paper and on white paper. I cut out the bowls and the popcorn separately, and one extra to cut a few single pieces of popcorn from. I then  used my stylist on a mouse pad to round out the bowl and pop corn, including the individual pop corn. I then used scotch quick dry glue to glue it on my card. This left the bowl and popcorn 3 dimensional on the card.I then used a yellow Copic marker to add some "butter" on the card. I then used liquid applique in a few spots and heated it to give even more dimension on the popcorn. I then stamped the Happy Birthday on the card.
My dad loves popcorn and I found a big red metal bowl with popcorn on the side and the words more please on the bottom of the bowl for his Birthday.
I wish the picture really showed how 3-D the popcorn really is.
This is for Moxi Fab's Birthday card challenge.I hope you like my card.

Finally a challenge card done

I have not posted in quite awhile and here is why. We have had a student from France with us for 5 weeks and now our 15 year old is off to France for 5 weeks this is through the Rotary program.Great program if you ever want your kids to explore another country.
I made this card for JustRites color challenge. I used stamps from Botanical Medallions and banners and the Nested medallion labels die set. I used momento ink and Copic markers to color the flowers. The back ground ( elegant fronds) was stamped with a versa color ink. I sponged around the medallion and the card front with the yellow ink to make them pop a bit.I cut out the flowers and had stamp one other set which I cut out the center of 2 flowers and one whole flower to pop up and give a 3 dimensional look.
It is a soft delicate looking card a bit different from my style I hope you like it.
Hope your summer is going well and you find time to play.

Fast and simple Card set

I needed some thank you notes for my daughter to send out for her Birthday and Moxie Fab card set challenge so this is what I came up with. I used Raisin Boat's Stamp set Blissful Blossoms. I used several colors of Momento ink to make this set. I started in one corner and then went diagonally on the card and then did this on each side until the card was filled with the flower outlines.I chose to make these 3 1/2" x 5" These are very fast and easly. I could use any of the pretty flowers in this set and I think I will.
I hope you pull out your stamps and whip up a few fast cards using your flower stamps.

I this is a fun card I did for Moxie Fabs window card challenge. I die cut the heart from a card from DCWV ( the box's of cards with fun prints that come with envelopes.) I then die cut a white scalloped heart the size larger then the one I cut from the card. I then carefully layed the original heart die I used to cut the window in my card and cut it out of the white scalloped heart. I then attached that white scalloped frame on the window I cut out of out of my card. I then used a pop dot to attache the cute little cup cake I stamped from Raisin Boat stamp set Tea Time treats I colored it with Copic markers.
I hope you like this simple little window card.

This is a card I did for my Mom's Birthday on Friday. I used  JustRite stamsp for all of the elements of this card including the background music. I embossed the frame with a pearl embossing powder on a lavender craft ink. It really is a pretty look. I stamped the flower on water color paer and then colored it with water color pencils.I die cut it wirh a spellbinder die and then sponged the edge with lavender and tan ink . I added small dots of pearl pen in the centers of the flowers. I then sprayed it with goosebumps, a clear glaze with a bit of shimmer . I stamped the card with a music back ground stamp in lavender ink and then I edged it with a tan ink to age it.I cut some small strips of textured paper and layered them under the matted flower. I then added the green rayon hem tape bow at an angle on the top of the card.I found these fun flowers in with some rhinestones.
I hope you like my card My February birth stone is Amethyst so I went with the pretty lavender on her card.
Find some time to play in your craft room this week!
